Went through a 'sewing' phase, and learned to sew surprisingly good. I still have a few things that I didn't upload, a Reuniclus plush, an unfinished teddiursa ... Don't bother looking for plush posts though, I deleted most of them c: (including a jolteon, a crobat, and a tokomon, among others)*notsalgia* At least I remeber how to, because recently I've been wanting to make a few things.

But I think this was the month I was introduced to these magical things called 'tablets'... can you guess by who?
Sam, who else? She had brought hers to school one day, and let my toy with it for a class. We had just started being friends, and I remember being happy that I had a friend that liked to draw as much as I do <3
That's right, none of my drawings, art, commissions, nothing of my digital art would of never happened if I had never befriended Sam. Otherwise, I would've likely continued on derping in traditional and wondering what 'tablet' and 'digital art program' meant. Thank you, friend, I owe you more than you think.

Still traditional OTL -__- I've noticed many people who are boss at digital arts/ traditional arts aren't adept at traditional arts/digital arts. I think it's very important to know how to do both to have a good foundation. This was the transition month to digital, I returned to the summer camp a year after I had first went (the first time was what prompted me to make a dA where I met =Emerilla and *ninjaEliXD), and I got to use a tablet and Photoshop Cs5 for the first time (this summer I had met *mewmew500 and ~IchiAdachi). Obviously they were crappy, but hey we all were our first times xD I then badgered my mom to get me a tablet, when she finally did the next month. This is my last month of traditional stuff lol.

This was my first month at digital OTL I boned up on tutorials and many hours practicing, and to be honest I think I was pretty good for a first month? I remember really trying to shade like my (still) idol *KiwiesRuleXD ... I didn't achieve it LOL ... AND THIS IS WHEN MY LIFE GOT HAPPY. PRAISE THE ART GODS THAT THIS MONTH HAPPENED.

This month was basically refining styles, skills, and getting used to SAI too. I remember, this was also the month that I had learned that I was going to move to Japan; I had also had a fall-out with one of my best friends that I had known since 5th grade (I'm in 10th grade now) over her boyfriend. (We still aren't talking now /sob) I especially refined my shading shit lol and opened commissions and art trades for the first time. Nuzlocke took up a lot of my time, too c:

September was a good and bad month. I finally got some better stuff to poop out from my tablet, but this was also the final month I had with my friends and towards the end of the month Sam's EPICALLY LONG (still ongoing) grounding from her comp started. I finally understood shading better though (especially hair) and a sort-of style slightly sunk in. Point commissions also started to pick up a little. I notice that I guess I started doing full-body non-chibi in this month too? I remember a long while ago talking to Sam about both of us having trouble drawing full-body in SAI as opposed to traditional. *fastforward to December* Problem solved, Sam.

October
[link] <- First appearance of Shiko-tan!
I remember dreading this month coming, because on the 6th I flew from home to here in Japan. I still dread that day. And forever will. I didn't get to hang out with Sam one last time before I left, because she was grounded.. I lost my friends, and I lost Sam and ~CaptainStrawberry and ~JokerxFreak and ~shanghaikid1994 and many others ... I don't like to remember. Art-wise, however, this month was pure gold. Thanks to having extra time (due to having no one to do anything with -__-) I refined techniques on drawing. Compared to previous months, this month is the most progressive I think. Commissions were gettin' spicey too.

I started to learn to use resources and stocks here on dA to my advantage, not only for BG's but for patterns lol. I also downloaded GIMP in this month, and presto now transparent BG's. I think I got Livestream this month too? So I got a bunch of programs this month lololol Art-wise, I tried other artist's styles a lot and did a lot of chibi's ._. I also started the spam of Christmas gifts and Art trades x'D I haven't had the time to draw much personal art since this time lolol /shot

December
[link] <- I'm kawaii with blood, right?
This month I've been trying (with not much avail OTL) to do different poses and BG's ... not working out x'DD I'm also trying to do more LS's and interact more with my watchers <3 Watchers get you where you are, so interact with them! I've also contemplated a manga. But recently I haven't had a lot of time to draw very much, thank you very much homework and crazy teachers. I've settled more into Japan and befriended ~bowfanatic, ~Meru-chii, and ~kewy-chan. Though, I haven't forgotten my home and it hurts me everyday like a cactus (LOL REFERENCE) spine in my heart. It hurts. I've lost a few friends, but I smile for them because they are happy, even if it is sad for me. I'm learning that "if you love something, let it go, and if it returns to you then it is yours. If it doesn't return, then it never was yours." It's sad, but I understand.
I'm still patiently waiting for Sam's return... I miss everyone a lot but I'm grateful for the friends I have here.

(I picked the representatives at random when I had the choice.)

...this makes me really nostalgic and missing before I moved.

I wonder if anyone even read the months or looked at the links LOL I don't blame them.
